Countless blessings....

Lots lots lots has been going on and I'm way behind on my blogging!! Sorry! :)

We have been loving our summer vacations! It's been great that Daddy is also home with us! Sleeping in (6:30 is late for Sam!), movies in bed, playing at the park in the morning, and lots of trips to the pool!

Normally when we go to the pool Matt sleeps in his carseat while we play. I guess being outside is soothing to him. We just take turns spritzing him with water to make sure he doesn't get too hot :) This time he actually was awake so we took our first dip!!

Sam and Daddy played hard!

We recently went to the library to pick out a few books. For some reason this one was her ultimate favorite out of all the books I got!

"Wanna read the superman book?" she would say,

"Atomic Ace and the mean bug guy" were the main characters in the book. After only a few times through she was able to flip through the pages and "read" it to us! I had to get a picture of her with it before we took it back to the library :)

We were soooo happy to get a facebook message from my cousin Angie recently asking to stay with us!! They were here on Sunday night early enough to go to the pool and play!! Here's what Matt did while everyone else played :)

The kids were soooooo sweet to Sam and very interested in Matt. Payson wanted to hold him all the time and Maxwell was pretty interested too. Sam was in love with all her "friends" and wore herself out playing so hard. I'm so sad I didn't get a picture of my cousin Angie too:(

I'm so glad they made the trip over and now we will have to visit Angie's crew in California! Payson and his family are moving closer to Waco, Tx so we look forward to getting together with them!!

We have so much to be thankful for! God has blessed us with great friends and wonderful family that have made this summer all the more enjoyable!

Sam has a sad face though (totally fake so you can tell she's a drama queen!) because Mommy probably won't be blogging much for the next two weeks...... good reason though - we are headed to the panhandle to spend some much needed time with our Brantley and Rima family and then we will be off to the mountains with the Olsons and Mortons. We can't wait!!!!

Max's baseball tournament....

This last weekend Max has a baseball tournament nearby so we went to go watch. He's amazingly good and we were so excited to finally get to see him play! We even got to see him hit a home run - YEAH MAX!!

It was very hot so our little guys were kept cool with spray bottles - Sam had LOTS of fun hunting for bugs with her spray bottle, so much so that she had little blisters on her index finger the next morning!

Baby Ben Milligan has gotten sooo big - and sooo cute!

Sam decided to take her shoes off and run the bases on her own :)

It was a hot day, but well worth the quality time with our sweet family!!

Sammie's Milk.....

Oh I HAD to blog about this one!!! I can't wait to see Sam's face when she is older and reads this!! Or her boyfriend does - ha!

The other day Matt squawked and Sam immediately lifted her shirt and told me that Matt needed "Mommy's Milk"! She proceeded to make circles around his chair trying to find a "good angle"! I was dying laughing and tried to get pictures but couldn't get a good one.....

This morning HER baby doll started "crying" and Sam said he needed "Sammie's Milk".

Garage Sale...

Several months ago I started going through closets and decided that with our new addition we were busting at the seams and needed to get rid of some stuff! I asked our friends the Olsons and the Mortons whether they wanted to do a multi-family garage sale with me. Each of us decided that we had a few things here and there and combined might be enough to have a small garage sale. We were mainly excited about the "memories" :)

Ended up - we had a TON!!

We got together on Friday night and set stuff up in the garage - it was PACKED!

Us girls were up bright and early Saturday morning ready to start, we had the first car show up 45 minutes before we were to "open"!!

The Daddy's were in charge of the kiddos - the only one missing from this picture is Matt :)

Lots of memories were made and us girls walked away with a little bit of extra spending money, a slight tan, and the rest of our stuff was hauled to goodwill!!

Not sure if we will do another one next year but we did decide that if we did it would be in the fall instead the dead heat of summer!! GEEZ!
