Family fun!

We had such a great weekend with our family!! Mom, Dad, Misty, and Misty's best friend Regan came to Dallas to play!
Misty wanted to come play wedding dress shopping and we were all so glad that we could come along!! It was such a blessing to be a part of this special time in her life!!
She was a trooper!! I'm not exaggerating when I say we went to only 2 stores but she probably tried on 50+ dresses!!!
We were all surprised when Misty actually found THE dress!! What a big stresser gone - yay.... and no, it's not in the picture (was just to the left but I cropped it out!!)
For all you Mothers of girly daughters - here's a play date idea for you!! These two 6 year old cuties came to the wedding shop JUST to watch brides try on dresses!! They sat at the back and gave all the appropriate gasps, oohs, and awws each time Misty came out in a new dress. They were ADORABLE!! (this is not THE dress either!)
We each took pictures of any dress that Misty liked. Then when we were narrowing down the list we would show her a picture - it got to be quite comical!!
hunting for each dress under discussion.....
We also filled our weekend plans with the Grapefest festival..... fun for all :)

playing with Auntie Ape and the lizards!

and....Lots of playing going on too.....
I think this picture gives us a sneak peak fo what Matt will look like when he's a little older - pretty cute I think :)
Giving Grams lots of giggles....
We were so blessed to have the majority of our immediate family here this weekend to play - just missing my current brother-in-law, Uncle Jon-Jon (for most of the weekend events :(..) and my future brother-in-law Myles........ next time!!
Lots and lots of love was felt!! God is good!!!

Sing along....

For some reason I haven't been able to upload videos for awhile so now that I can....... I've got some making up to do!!

Enjoy Sam's little American Idol rendition!!

(this was in August)

Finally!!!

Finally!! Our little chubb-myster finally rolled over!!
We've been doing lots of practicing :), Sam is very helpful with the practice - ha! But we've had no success until today! Matt has been plenty content watching the world go by on his back..... or...... he cries the entire time he is doing tummy time!
I went in to get him this morning and this is how I found him!!
YAY!!
Not surprisingly he did back to tummy first....
"now what?" :)

We had to get it on video this afternoon to make sure it wasn't a fluke :) He really can do it! YAY Matt!!

Busy Busy!

Busy Busy!! I couldn't believe how long it had been since I last blogged!! I'm surprised I haven't gotten hate texts from my family :)
We've been busy busy soaking up these half way semi cool days and our rainy days as well!!
Lots to blog about!
Over Labor Day weekend we took it easy and headed to the park. It was a PERFECT day! We were able to just enjoy ourselves and were reminded at all of God's beauty around us!
Matt was comfortable wherever we put him while we picniced....

Daddy and Sam did a little fishing while Matt and I hung out on the picnic blanket
Wrestling with Daddy :)
Snoozin in the cool breeze...
Just a few days after the beautiful labor day weather we started having lots of rain. I decided to dress Sam for the occassion and send her outside to play! I figured I should take a before picture in anticipation of some play time in the muddy flower beds....
This is what she did instead :)
(she has barbies under that towel with her)
On another day she helped me make brownies!
We also recently celebrated the openning game day for the cowboys!! YAY cowboys!! As tradition we had a tailgate party in our driveway!! Friends came to the house about 4 hours before kick off, the canopy tent was set up outside the garage, flag flying on the car, and the grill pulled out the work on hot dogs, hamburgers, and stuffed jalapenos!
Susan went all out and made celebratory cake balls for the occassion!! yummy!
Andrew and Matt enjoying the game!
Kale and Sam were dressed for the occassion but didn't stay very interested after kick off, so they headed to the back to watch some Veggies Tales!
Daddy's Football Buddy
We had lots of fun!!
This afternoon another storm rolled in and Daddy and Sam went out to play in the rain :)
Fun times at the Brantley house!
Love!!

Our Pretty Pretty Princess and Handsome little man....

Ohhhhhh How Excited I was to finally get to enroll my little girl in Ballet!!!
We hunted for her cute outfit for days and dressed her up the night before for her Daddy, "Oh Mommy, I look soooo pretty!" "Do you like it Daddy?" "I'm bootiful!"
So my heart was a little crushed when the instructor told the parents to wait outside. As a teacher I understood so myself along with all the other parents took pictures through the window. Sam was such a big girl and went right in, she only started to get sad when another little girl started crying :(
After that she was never far from the teacher!!

Towards the end of the lesson I noticed Sam starting to squirm. Not long afterwards her shoes and her tutu were seen on the floor. She's sitting in the teachers lap here, you can see the tutu out to the side!
They are all soooo cute!! (Sam is to the right of the teacher)After class her teacher helped her put her attire back on. Sam came out of class and in her loudest voice said, "Mommy, I don't yike to be pretty!"
(That's her Daddy coming out in her!)
Can't wait for next week's class!!
After ballet we came home and did some finger painting in the garage. It works out perfectly because I can keep an eye on her while I work in the kitchen! At one point she came in and said, "Look Mommy, I'm yucky!"
I sent her back to the garage to finish, I figured we'd just clean her up when she was totally done.......
She came back minutes later looking like this!!

Matt and his 2 brothers :) entertained each other while we washed the finger paint out of her hair!!

Happy Friday!
