Sammie's New Moves - watch out!!!

Sam was in rare form this evening so we had to break out the video camera!! It's been a while since we've done a dance video and usually I put it to music but we decided to leave it "as is" this time - you need the full effect!!! I apologize now for my loud laugh in the video and for the shaky camera - I couldn't stop laughing!!!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs......

After Crenshaw's gym we headed home. Apparently 35 North headed outside of Austin on a Sunday afternoon is IMPOSSIBLE to navigate at a reasonable pace! We were driving an average of 20 miles per hour for a while. We decided once we hit Waco that we would try and wait out the traffic and see a movie instead.

Sam was just sleepy enough and at just the right age to sit through the movie!! She was great!! First movie in a theater.... check off in baby book :)

Now more of our weekend in Austin to blog!!

After the game on Saturday we dreaded our drive back, but our adopted Nana and Opa made it much more tolerable!!! The opened their gymnastics gym to all the kiddos and let us wear....them....out!!!!

They played for 2 1/2 hours straight on everything from the multiple floor trampolines, to the foam pit!! Lots and lots of fun!! Thanks Nana and Opa for letting us play!!

Hook 'em Horns!!

This is the first of many posts documenting last weekend! What a great weekend we had!

It started Friday evening when our friends Jared and Ariel came in to town - not just to see us but we took it that way :) We took them out to eat at a Chuck favorite before they went to their concert and the best thing happened...... it was apparently a training night at Genghis Grill so EVERYTHING was FREE!! Yummy!!!

We knew things were going to go our way after that :)

Saturday morning we jumped in the car and headed to Austin for the UT/Colorado game. It was a family affair! Family from Amarillo, Lano, Austin, Port Lavaca, Dallas, and New Jersey came for the game!!

Chuck and I had discussed earlier in the year whether we wanted to take Sam to the actual game. We decided that she was too young and in hindsight..... we think we made the right decision :)!! Chuck, Sam, Hudson, and I loaded our stuff and headed to our adopted "Nana and Opa's" house in Austin to enjoy the game from the comfort of their living room!!

While we watched the game, Sam played with Nana's baby dolls :)

Sam disappeared from the living room and we soon heard yelling coming from our bathroom??? We snuck around the corner and heard the following......... :)

Conversing with Daddy via phone!!!

Today was the first day Sam seemed to actually talk to the person on the other end of the phone. When it rang she yelled Daddy and reached for the phone - luckily it was her Daddy so I put it on speakerphone and let her go to town! :)

You may be getting phone calls from Sam soon now that she's figuring it out!! :)

Pumpkin Patch.....

Celina's Great Orange Pumpkin Patch was worth the drive this weekend!

The Patch had bounce houses, hay rides, hot dogs, a petting zoo, and pumpkins - Sam had a great time and the weather was perfect!!

We started with the hayride around the patch. We went with our friends Karra, Casey and baby Kale.

After the hayride we tried to get pictures with the pumpkins but Sam would have nothing to do with them, she was only interested in the goats, sheep, and roosters (she was afraid of the longhorns) .......

After lots of time with the sheep we tried to get pictures on this cute little red truck filled with pumpkins, Sam was not happy with this option!!

Once Kale joined her she was a happy girl :)
