Brantley Baby #2, or "pecan" as we like to call him/her will be joining our family sometime around April 15th!!!
Sam was peanut before we met her therefore we thought we'd stay in the nut family with pecan. We will hopefully find out in November whether Sam will have a baby brother or baby sister. I will finish the first trimester on Thursday and feel great! Around 8 weeks I had the tired and nauseaus phase but I seem to be past that and feel wonderful. Not really showing yet, just very emotional right now!! :)
We are very excited and curious to see how Sammie will feel about a little sibling. She loves babies right and and enjoys playing with her own but we wonder how she will feel about sharing her Mommy and Daddy with a baby that doesn't go "home"?? Should be interesting!!
The timing will work out perfectly so that I'm only out the last 6 weeks or so of school and then Chuck will be home for the summer to help with the little one.
Below is a picture from our 8 week sonogram, when we got the sonogram my Dr pushed on my stomach and we watched little pecan wiggle all around - is was amazing!! Now at 11 1/2 weeks little pecan is about the size of a fig, almost fully formed, and working on tooth buds and hardening of his/her bones. I am amazed at God's wonderful work each time I think of the miracle he is working on right now!!
Each night as Sam and I say our prayers we pray for the baby in Mommy's belly. God has blessed us with such a wonderful gift and we pray for safety, strength, and health as pecan grows. Please keep our growing family in your prayers as we embark on this next chapter of our lives!!
Love - Brantley Bunch
